Terms & Conditions

Car Hires - Start from one day through to longer term or leasing options. All car hires under 3 days receive 100 free kms per day and then an additional charge of 25 cents per km is charged over 100 km's. All mini van hires under 3 days receive 100 free km's per day and then an additional charge of 35 cents per km is charged. All hires of more then 3 days are unlimited kms.

Prices - Prices for car rentals vary depending on the time of the year, and the number of days you require a car for. Please contract reception for pricing on car hires.

Airport transfers - Airport pick-up and drop-off services are available on car hire over 3 days. There is an additional cost for an airport pick up of $40.00 and an additional cost for an airport drop-off of $40.00.

Hotel/motel transfers - are complimentary and are available on request if we have staff available.

Drivers license - All drivers must have a current full licence. A current overseas licence is acceptable if written in English, otherwise we require a current International Licence. We do not hire a car to drivers under the age of 25.

Car hire bond - An imprint of a signed credit card voucher is required for an insurance bond on all car hires. This is kept for security of the car hire for 28 days after the hire.

Rental duration - A car hire day runs for 24 hours from the time of pick up.

GST and insurance - GST and an insurance premium is included in all prices/All cars have a standard insurance excess of $1500.00 and mini vans and people movers.

One-way hires - If you wish to return the car to a differnet location to where you picked it up, please check the rate and availability for this during the inquiry process. We do have drop off locations available in Christchurch, Invercargill and Queenstown. Are rental cars are not permitted to travel to the North Island. A one-way charge may apply.

Baby and child seats - Are available upon reqest. Please let us know the childs age and weight on inquiry so we can insure your child gets the correct seat. A charge of $3.00 per day per seat applys. A maxium charge of $25.00 per seat per hire applys.

A baby seat must be installed by the driver of the vehicle, to ensure your child's saftely.

Petrol/fuel - Petrol must be returned full or at approporiate level indicated in the rental car agreement otherwise a $2.20 per litre refuling charge will apply.
